Families
FOR FAMILIES & SCHOOLS
Aura Battle is a competition of presence and creativity with no physical contact. This page explains, plainly, how minors are protected.
WHAT IT IS
Participants alternate: one performs a creative action and the other responds. The organizer sets in advance how many exchanges the battle will have. They win on attitude, creativity and battle IQ, not on strength.
WHAT IT IS NOT
It is not a fight, not a contact sport, and not a space where humiliating anyone is allowed.
YOUTH PROTECTION
Fixed rules
- WABF has three official age divisions: Children (5–12), Youth (13–17) and Adults (18+). Competitions using the official standard do not mix age divisions. Organizers can still use WABF tools with custom age ranges when needed.
- Under-5s take part only in an introductory activity, not an official division or a competitive bracket.
- Physical contact banned in every division.
- No alcohol, drugs, tobacco or vaping in the official area with minors.
- A responsible adult present at every activity involving minors.
Documents required
- Authorization signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Separate, revocable image consent.
- Emergency phone and relevant medical information.
- Participant code accepted before competing.
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
Anyone can report inappropriate conduct to the event's safeguarding lead. It is logged in the incident report and organizers may remove anyone compromising safety. Where a crime may have occurred, local authorities are contacted.
