WHAT IS AN AURA BATTLE

An aura battle is a creative duel between two participants, played in timed rounds and scored on presence, creativity, battle IQ, execution and flow. No physical contact, no personal humiliation.

SHORT DEFINITION

Aura battle = a 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 face-off where each competitor gets a timed turn to impose their presence through gestures, poses, movement, humor, performance, rhythm and improvisation. You win by convincing judges and crowd, not by intimidating anyone.

HOW A BATTLE RUNS

1 VS 1 STRUCTURE

  • Two competitors, alternating turns per round.
  • Short rounds of 30 to 45 seconds each.
  • 2 or 3 rounds depending on event level.
  • Tie: a sudden aura decider round.

WHAT YOU CAN USE

  • Gestures, poses and eye contact.
  • Movement, footwork or dance (optional).
  • Humor, mime and cultural references.
  • Direct reaction to what your rival just did.

There is no obligation to dance, break, do acrobatics or use music. A dangerous move never scores higher simply because it is dangerous.
