OFFICIAL JUDGING SYSTEM

Simplified system: each judge scores every criterion from 0 to 10, independently, without knowing the digital vote or sound meter result before locking their score.

HOW TO JUDGE 1VS1

0–10

Aura / Presence

Presence, confidence, charisma, attitude, personality and command of the moment.

0–10

Creativity

Originality, ideas, humour, references, variety, surprise and personal style.

0–10

Response / Battle IQ

Reading the rival, responding, improvising, returning ideas and using what happens.

TOTAL = 30

HOW TO JUDGE 2VS2

0–10

Duo Aura / Presence

Joint presence, confidence, charisma and command of the moment.

0–10

Creativity

Originality, ideas, humour, references, variety and personal style.

0–10

Response / Battle IQ

Reading the rival team, responding and improvising on what happened.

0–10

Teamwork / Synergy

Real participation from both, collaboration, contrast, coordination and joint building. Permanent synchronisation is not required.

TOTAL = 40

RESPECT DOES NOT ADD POINTS

Respect is a mandatory condition, not a scored criterion. Misconduct is handled with a warning, yellow or red card, so judges never have to reward good behaviour.

Execution and timing influence the perception of Aura, Creativity and Response, but do not have a separate box on the score sheet.

Start with what you have. Professionalise as you grow. Avoid 2 judges due to tie risk.

HOW TO JUDGE

WHAT NOT TO JUDGE

DO NOT JUDGE

  • Fame or follower count
  • Friends in the crowd
  • Expensive clothes or looks
  • Nationality
  • Previous popularity

DO JUDGE

  • AURA: who owns the space best?
  • CREATIVITY: whose ideas are more original?
  • RESPONSE: who reads and answers better?
  • In 2vs2: TEAMWORK — do both contribute across the battle?

EXAMPLE

Participant A performs many known actions with great confidence. Participant B performs fewer actions but directly answers three of A's exchanges and builds a narrative. A judge must not automatically reward whoever “does more”: they evaluate overall quality against Aura, Creativity and Response.

JUDGE SCREEN

In phase 2 each judge will join via QR or event code, see A vs B, enter their 0-10 values per criterion and press LOCK SCORE. Once locked the score cannot be edited.

The Head Judge will be able to verify submissions, apply penalties, declare Sudden Aura or void a battle after an incident.

What is Battle IQ?

Battle IQ is how a person responds to what their rival does: whether they listen, adapt and answer smartly instead of just repeating their own routine.
